kooperative praxis

kooperative praxis formuliert die grundlagen der kulturellen produktion:

als wissend soziologisch tätiger mensch nutze ich das erarbeiten von studien bzw. der von mir initiierten *kulturinventur* oder *urbanofeels* als forschendes spektrum im bereich der grundbedingungen meiner arbeit, vor allem der partizipation.

bei der reflektion dieser erkenntnisse im projektkontext wird deutlich, worin kooperative potentiale liegen. im sozialen raum z.b. liegen diese für mich erfahrungsgemäss vor allem in den elementaren kompetenzen der menschen, die den raum formen. formen heisst hier wörtlich das gestalten des raumes – ob nun der raumbegrenzungen oder der raumapplikationen dazwischen, macht in der sinnlichen wahrnehmung noch keinen unterschied. und in diesem gestaltenden formen, im umgang mit dem raum, beweisen menschen ihre kompetenzen. in ihrem verhalten kann man lesen, sie dabei in ihren talenten fördern. denn alle fähigkeiten des menschen entstehen im raum, der ihn umgibt.

dann stellt sich die dialektische frage:
formt der raum den menschen oder formt der mensch den raum?
wie begrenzend sollte raum sein?  wie sehr spielen die besonderen sozialen bedingungen der menschen, die darin leben und arbeiten, eine rolle?

hier möchte ich auf Lars Lerups ‘Unfertiges Bauen’ (original ‘Building the Unfinished’, Sage Publications, 1977) verweisen. er spricht von der ‘Sozialen Konstruktion’ von raumbedingungen. das konkrete in der raumbildung. Katja Friedrich aus Dresden hat hierzu einen umfassenden artikel auf ‘wolkenkuckucksheim’ veröffentlicht.

für mich eines der leitmotive in meiner arbeit!

das geht mitunter in das kleinste detail des aushandelns und dies sollte möglichst anschaulich für alle mitglieder der gruppe sein. bei IDEE 01239 e.V. habe ich das über bald viereinhalb jahre begleitet. vom finden eines raumes über das ausformen der grundbedingungen bis zum hochdifferenzierten planen von funktionseinheiten. dabei ist vieles über die verbundenheit des menschen mit ‘seinem raum’ ans licht gekommen, das mich für meine weitere arbeit inspiriert, z.t. aber auch erschüttert hat …

co-operative practice form the core ethics of cultural production:

being a human knowingly working sociologically I utilize surveys and working formats like *cultural inventory* or *urbanofeels* as a means of researching the core ethics of my work, especially those of participation.

in reflecting these findings in project context it becomes clear to which extend there is a co-operative potential. in social space for instance this potential for me empirically lies in the basic competences of the people forming that space. to form means to shape by word in this regard – if it was for the overall spatial borders or just for the spatial applications inbetween, it would not make a difference for our sensual reception. so in this shaping activity of forming, in dealing with space, people show their comptences. in their behaviour one can read as well as one can support their talents. keep in mind, all talents human beings have, are generated in the space that surrounds them.

as for this the dialectic question arises:
does space form human beings or do human beings form space
to which extend may space be limiting? to which extend do the specific social conditions of human beings living and working in a space play a role?

at this point i want to refer to Lars Lerup’s ‘Building the Unfinished’ (1977, Sage Publications). he speaks about the ‘social construction’ of spatial conditions. the concrete in spatial design. Katja Friedrich of Dresden has published a comprehensive essay about that on ‘Cloud Cookoo Land’.

sometimes thsi goes into the most indefinate detail of negotiating which should be most transparent for all members of a group. at IDEE 01239 e.V. i accompanied such a process for almost four and a half years. it went from finding space across co-operatively forming the core conditions to highly sophisticated planning of functional units. in doing this many issues about the connection of a human being to ‘his or her space’ arose that mostly inspired my further work, but in part even disillusioned it…
